Michael Contreras

A 37-year-old Oro Valley man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual exploitation of a minor, police said Wednesday in a news release.

Oro Valley police say they were contacted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a man possessing child porn.

Detectives investigated and eventually, with the help of Tucson police, searched a home in the 10000 block of North Calle Del Carnero, the agency said in the news release.

Michael Contreras was arrested and booked into the Pima County jail on suspicion of 11 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, the release said.

The investigation is ongoing, and more charges are expected to be filed once it is complete, the release said.

Anyone aware of a potential victim in the case is asked to contact the Oro Valley Police Department at 520-229-4900. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, https://www.missingkids.org/home, can also take tips, the release said.
