A 33-year-old man was shot and killed Friday evening during a confrontation on a popular bike path on Tucson's north side, police said.

Officers found Armando Betancourt-Audia shot and wounded on the Rillito River Park Trail at North First Avenue, police said in a news release.

He died later at a hospital.

No more details have been released by police.
