Thousands of fentanyl pills, more than $19,000 in cash and ammunition were seized after Tucson police responded to a call about a "slumped driver."
On June 1, officers were called to the 500 block of E. Navajo Road, near First Avenue and Fort Lowell Road. Officers attempted to speak with the driver, 26-year-old Cindy Powell-Perez, but police say she put her vehicle in reverse instead, striking patrol cars and leading officers on a chase, according to a news release.
The chase came to an end near North Dodge Boulevard and East Speedway where Powell-Perez allegedly crashed into an unoccupied vehicle. She was taken into custody and treated at a local hospital for minor injuries, the release states.

Officers searched the vehicle Powell-Perez was driving and found a large bag with over 4,400 fentanyl pills, almost 1 pound of methamphetamine, more than $19,000 in cash, and ammunition.
More than 4,400 fentanyl pills were found in a vehicle last month, Tucson police said.
Powell-Perez was arrested on suspicion of various felony drug charges and DUI. Investigators from the Counter Narcotics Alliance are continuing the investigation, Tucson police said Wednesday.
