A Sierra Vista man is facing child sex-related charges after police say he was caught in an undercover investigation planning to meet a girl he was told was eight years old.

Jacob Raab, 26, was booked into the Pima County jail last week on suspicion of child prostitution and sexual conduct with a minor, Tucson police say. Bond was set at $100,000.

Raab spent about a week planning communicating with a person online who he thought was the girl's mother about paying to have sex with her daughter, according to an interim complaint filed last week in Pima County Justice Court. The "mom" was an undercover police officer who had posted on a sex-for-pay website, the complaint said.

Raab is accused of contacting the undercover officer, and offering to pay $150 for a half-hour with the fake girl.

Raab was apprehended soon after arriving at what he thought was the woman's home, the complaint says.
