A 40-year-old motorcyclist was killed this week after being stuck by a box truck in midtown, Tucson police said.

Jason Andres Bentley was headed north on North Campbell Avenue about 10:00 p.m. Tuesday when he was struck by a large yellow box truck. He was pronounced dead at the crash scene, Tucson police said in a news release.

The driver of the truck, 32, had exited a private drive and crossed diagonally across the traffic lanes to go east on East Prince Road, the release said.

The driver of the truck had alcohol in his system but was not impaired, the release said.

The investigation continues.
