A 36-year-old Tucson man convicted of a child pornography offense was sentenced to nearly four years in prison last week.

Earlier this year in February, Enrique Adrian Yanez pleaded guilty to one count of knowing access of child pornography, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Arizona.

He was sentenced to 42 months in prison and a lifetime of supervised release by U.S. District Judge John C. Hinderaker.

The sentence stems from an incident in summer 2022 when Homeland Security Investigations agents learned that Yanez was distributing child pornography files through a peer-to-peer file-sharing network, the news release said.

Additional child pornography files were found on a computer belonging to Yanez while a search warrant was being executed on his home, the news release said.Β
