A federal grand jury has indicted a Tucson man on a count of second degree murder, authorities say.
Matthew Leyvas, 28, a member of the Pascua Yaqui tribe, is accused in a fatal stabbing that occurred Aug. 8, a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office says.
No details about the victim nor circumstances of the stabbing were released.
A second-degree murder charge carries a maximum penalty of life in prison and a fine of up to $250,000, the release said.
