A homicide investigation is underway after a man and woman were found fatally shot Wednesday in an apartment on the city's south side, Tucson police said.
Courtney-Ann Kanani Pregil, 37, and a 32-year-old man were found by Tucson police officers who were responding to a welfare check at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of West Ajo Way, police said Friday in a news release.
Detectives learned that neither Pregil nor the man lived in the apartment complex, they say.
The identity of the man is being withheld pending next of kin notification, officials said.Β No timeframe was provided as to when Pregil and the man approximately died.
Details of the killings are "extremely limited at this time," police say. Anyone with information is asked to call 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line.
