A car like this Mercury Grand Marquis has been linked to a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred about 1 a.m. Aug. 7, on Tucson's south side, police say.

Tucson Police are asking for help finding a white Mercury Grand Marquis that was involved in a deadly pedestrian hit-and-run crash last week on the city's south side.

Margot Dawn Roberson, 41, was struck and killed just before 1 a.m. Aug. 7, crossing on South Sixth Avenue near West 44th Street, Tucson police said in a news release.

Witnesses told police that a white 1995-1997 Grand Marquis fled after the crash. The vehicle should have damage to its headlight on the front passenger side, police say.

Roberson was walking in the universal turn lane on Sixth, south of 44th Street, when she was struck.

The driver fled before police arrived.
