A Sierra Vista man was arrested Saturday morning after he allegedly pointed a gun at employees of a local bar, police said.
Stephen Smith, 21, jumped the wall into the secure front patio of JR's Bar, 4225 Avenida Cochise, at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday, said Corporal Tim Wachtel, a Sierra Vista Police Department spokesman.
After entering the patio, Smith pointed a loaded handgun at employees through the bar's front doorway.
Employees of the bar confronted Smith and detained him until police arrived.
He was booked into the Cochise County jail on charges of attempted armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, first-degree burglary and criminal trespass, Wacthel said.
Smith is being held on a $100,000 bond.
