Deputies are searching for a man this morning in connection with a deadly knife attack southwest of Tucson, officials say.
James Murray Reaves, 32, is wanted in connection with the stabbing that occurred shortly before 3 a.m. in the 2800 block of South Shiela Avenue, near South Kinney Road and South Tucson Mountain Estates Parkway, said Deputy Cody Gress.
He said the attack left a 38-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. He died later a a hospital.
A 34-year-old woman also suffered wounds in the attack. Her injuries were described as minor.
Detectives have learned that Reaves is the ex-boyfriend of the woman who was injured in the attacked.
According to the sheriff's department, Reaves showed up at the residence in the early morning hours and got into a fight with the male victim. At one point Reaves pulled out a knife and stabbed the man several times, the department said in a news release.
After the stabbing, deputies say Reaves fled to a nearby convenience store, where he left his vehicle. He was picked up by someone in a white pickup truck, Gress said.
