Back-to-school vaccines will be provided Thursday at a clinic at Tucson’s Kino Event Center.
The clinic will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center, 2805 E. Ajo Way, on the northeast corner of South Country Club Road.
Most insurance plans cover the cost of vaccines. The county health department also has programs to cover the cost for children without insurance, a county news release said.
The clinic will offer all recommended vaccines for students in kindergarten through 12th grade, the release said.
The child’s immunization records and insurance cards will be needed.
Walk-in physicals also will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
“Whether school has already started or is just about to, this clinic is a convenient way to make sure your child is up-to-date and ready for a healthy year,” Dr. Andrew Saal, the county health department’s assistant medical director said in a news release.
