Helping nonprofits, act of kindness earns a bell

What: Ben’s Bells promote kindness and community involvement. Each week a person who makes Tucson better is “belled.”

Why: For helping nonprofits in the Tucson area meet their missions. She is very kind and works hard helping nonprofits succeed, Alexander wrote in her nomination letter.

Alexander wrote that it was an act of kindness that prompted the nomination: Carrillo recently bought flowers and a card and hand-delivered them to the Islamic Community Center to let them know “love wins.”
