What: Ben’s Bells promote kindness and community involvement. Each week a person who makes Tucson better is β€œbelled.”

Why: For creating a weekend food backpack program for children who attend Outer Limits School. Elliott puts together 20 backpacks with food to give to the students who need the extra nutrition on weekends. She does most of this work herself. Elliott also arranged for the children to get new clothing, shoes and toys for Christmas and arranges a holiday dinner for each family, Berk wrote in his nomination letter. β€œKarin is truly one of a kind,” Berk wrote.
