What: Ben’s Bells promote kindness and community involvement. Each week, a person who makes Tucson better is β€œbelled.”

Last week’s recipient: Graciela Lopez.

Nominated by: Garrett and Virginia Jensen.

Why: For founding the nonprofit Angel Heart Pajama Project along with her two daughters, Maria Cuesta-Patterson and Marty Croissant. Lopez buys new pajamas and books for children in foster care or who are homeless. Since starting the project, the group has provided more than 5,000 pajamas and books to needy chldren, the Jensens wrote in their nomination letter.
