UPDATE: Tucson police ID victim of homicide on the city's south side
A man was shot and killed Saturday night on the city’s south side, Tucson police say.
Police responded to the 800 block of West Wyoming Street, near South 12th Avenue and East Irvington Road, at 9:41 p.m. finding the man who had been shot.
Officers and Tucson Fire personnel tried to help the man but he died at the scene, Tucson police said in a news release.
The name of the man had not been released Sunday morning, pending notification of his family.
No further details about the shooting were released.
