A statue worth $3,000 outside the Wilde Meyer Gallery was stolen in July, officials say.

When deputies arrived to the gallery at 2890 E. Skyline Drive, near North Campbell Avenue, on July 18, they learned that a person driving a green or gray '90s Dodge Dakota pickup truck passed by the gallery, before returning shortly after.Β

The truck backed into a parking spot in front of the gallery, a news release from the Pima County Sheriff's Department says. A person then grabbed a statue that was sitting outside and put it in the truck.Β

The metal statue of a cactus is rust-colored with yellow-painted flowers.Β

The person is said to have short brown hair and was last seen wearing a black dress and black tennis shoes, the release shows. The truck has a white stripe down the side.
