The All Souls Procession was started by Tucson artist Susan Johnson in 1990 as a way to cope with the death of her father, also an artist. The small cadre of artists in the first years has given way to a procession with thousands of people. It’s organized by Many Mouths One Stomach, a nonprofit arts collective. Last year was the first year the procession had not been in downtown Tucson.

The 2018 procession will be held on Sunday, Nov. 4. Here's how to make the most out of the event.
