The Tucson Boys Chorus white utility trailer containing 77 years of history was stolen Oct. 25, 2016 from the chorus hall, according to a news release from the organization.

A white utility trailer filled with Tucson Boys Chorus memorabilia that was stolen Tuesday night from the organization's chorus hall was found by police hours later.Β

A Tucson police officer who saw the story about the theft on the news last night spotted a trailer matching the description at an apartment complex less than four miles away from the hall, according to a news release.

Seventy-seven years of history was stored in the trailer that was parked next to the hall because the building is undergoing remodeling. Most of the memorabilia was found inside the trailer and appears to be intact, the news release said.

The trailer had photographs of chorus members with celebrities such as musician and singer John Denver and actress Shirley Jones, according to a post on the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus Facebook page. It also had historical mementos dating back to the 1950s.
