A new housing community with pocket parks will soon be going up on Tucson’s southeast side.
National homebuilder Mattamy Homes recently bought 73 finished lots within the community of Blackhawk, near Interstate 10 and Wilmot Road, for $7.3 million.
“We’re excited to bring the ‘Mattamy Way’ to Blackhawk,” said Anjela Salyer, president of Mattamy’s Tucson division. “This convenient location ensures that shopping, dining and outdoor recreation destinations are never far away, making it an ideal choice for families, professionals and empty nesters alike.”
The single-family homes will range from 1,429 to 2,327 square feet in size and have versatile room configurations so homebuyers can choose between dens and flex spaces.
Four pocket parks in the new community will have turf grass areas, ramadas, playgrounds and benches.
