A home in the Catalina Foothills that is said to have been a frequent Tucson party spot for Frank Sinatra and other members of the Rat Pack, is on the market.
Martini Manor is a one-acre property with five bedrooms and six bathrooms in the Skyline Country Club Estates, near North Swan Road and East Sunrise Drive.

“Steeped in the ethos of the Rat Pack and Old Hollywood, this bespoke estate pays tribute and homage to the glamour of the era,” reads the $2.9 million listing.
The story goes on to say the Rat Pack would frequent Skyline Country Club and then go back to Martini Manor for more fun after hours, said Anthony Schaefer, with Long Realty Co.
Built in 1966, the house originally had a gentlemen’s lounge downstairs with a bar and “pool viewing” room, with a tempered plate glass window below water level letting guests enjoy a drink and an underwater pool view, according to newspaper archives. That room is no longer a feature.
The house has floor to ceiling windows, a chef’s kitchen, a theater, temperature-controlled wine room, a pool that resembles a martini glass and decks overlooking the city.

It was originally built by JRW Construction for Jack and Judi Winn.
Schaefer has received several inquiries about the property from buyers looking for a second home and some who are intrigued by its architecture.
“It’s been getting big attention from outside markets and puts a lot of eyes on Tucson,” he said.

The Skyline Country Club opened in 1963 as a club house and golf course.
In 1966, when the club added luxury guest cottages, many celebrities stayed there. Aside from Rat Pack members, notable guests included Bob Hope, Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays.
Hollywood chose the country club as the location for the 1970 film C.C. and Company, starring Joe Namath and Ann-Margret.

These movies were filmed in part in Tucson and surrounding areas from 1970 to today. In addition to these more modern motion pictures, Old Tucson Studios has hosted nearly 300 productions since 1939.
