A 21-year-old motorcyclist has died days after colliding with an SUV in an intersection on Tucson's southeast side, police say.
Nicholas Benjamin Kershaw crashed about 8:30 a.m. on March 6, at the intersection of East Valencia and South Palo Verde roads, Tucson police said Wednesday in a news release.
Witnesses told police Kershaw was speeding west on Valencia and had traveled across all lanes of traffic to get around slower vehicles when he collided with a Mitsubishi Outlander that was turning onto Palo Verde, the release said.
Police were notified Tuesday that Kershaw had died at the hospital, the release said.
The 74-year-old woman driving the Mitsubishi was not injured, police said.
The investigation continues.
