A 22-year-old woman was found shot to death and a wounded man sought care at a hospital for a gunshot wound Tuesday night in an incident being investigated by Tucson police.
About 10:00 p.m., officers found the body of Daniza Ferrales Sanchez in a car in the 2100 block of South Cottonwood Lane, near West Silverlake Road. Tucson police said Thursday in a news release.
While police were on Cottonwood Lane, a man with a gunshot would went to St. Mary's Hospital. Police determined the two incidents were connected, the release said.
Few details are known, but police say Sanchez and the man were both shot while in the area of East Benson Highway and South Bonney Avenue, near South Country Club Road.
The investigation continues.
