A man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after being shot multiple times on Tucson's north side, authorities said.

Police are investigating the shooting in an alley north of Santa Rita Avenue and Grant Road, said Sgt. Kimberly Bay, a Tucson Police Department spokeswoman.

She said officers received a report of a shooting around 4:48 p.m. and when they arrived a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside a red Chrysler Sebring.

Detectives believe the man was possibly dropped off in the alleyway. Currently, police do not have a suspect in the incident.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 911 or 88-Crime.
