An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect today, but relief is in sight, with much cooler temperaturesβ and rainβ arriving Friday.

Isolated scattered thunderstorms will descend on southeast Arizona Thursday, bringing gusty winds. Friday will bring the possibility of stronger storms, with the best chances for heavy rainfall occurring Friday night into Saturday.
