Increased moisture in the region make scattered showers and thunderstorms possible each afternoon and evening through Friday, the weather service says.
Remnants of former tropical storm Mario is expected to bring scattered thunderstorms to the area through Friday, the National Weather Service said Wednesday in its forecast.
Some thunderstorms could produce locally heavy rainfall and flash flooding, the forecast said.
The region will dry out this weekend, and triple-digit high temperatures are expected to return to Tucson next week, the weather service said.
