New Year’s Eve revelers in Tucson will see late night temperatures Sunday hit the low 40s as they ring in 2024.

Daytime highs, which sit at an average of 64 degrees this time of year, are teetering exactly where they are supposed to be, with New Year’s Eve daytime highs reaching about 63 degrees in the Old Pueblo. New Year’s Eve shows sunny skies with a high of 63 degrees and a low of about 40 degrees.

A small chance of rain β€” 20% β€” is predicted on Monday, New Year’s Day, according to the National Weather Service in Tucson. On Tuesday the chance for rain rises to 30%.

Beside those slim chances of precipitation, the weather service is forecasting clear, sunny skies over the next week.

Friday daytime temps will reach a high of near 70 degrees with lows around 44.

On Saturday, it is expected to be even warmer, with highs here expected to be 72 degrees. Saturday night lows will slip to about 39 degrees, the weather service said.

This weather trend continues on through Wednesday, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 64 degrees.
