Re: the May 22 article "Prop. 123 Voting in Pima Reflected Economic Divide."

Let's be clear: all the people I know who voted "no" on Prop. 123 did so because it was not good enough for public education. We are sick to death that the "leadership" of Arizona broke the law, strangled public schools for the misguided agenda of privatization, and will now get away with it. Those misers will now claim that the no vote meant they've done enough to fund education.

To the education establishment β€” H.T. Sanchez, Mary Martinez and Steve Holmes β€” don't help them. You are wrong to suggest that the large "no" vote shows "people who have the means don't feel the necessity" of reasonable funding. You should be correctly stating, at every opportunity, that the vote is proof that the people of Arizona will no longer tolerate being last in education funding. We will be working with you to remove from office those legislators who perpetrated this travesty.
