The program continues through Jan. 15 with various locations around Tucson and Oro Valley. The city will also have wood chips from ground up trees after Jan 4. A lone and forgotten Christmas ornament dangles from a recycled Christmas tree. It is requested all ornaments, wires, tinsel and such be removed before recycling the trees. The City of Tucson's TreeCycle Program continues through Jan. 15 with various locations around Tucson and Oro Valley. The city will also have wood chips from ground up trees after Jan 4.

Containers loaded with the remains of recycled Christmas trees are set aside while more trees are put through a grinder at Los Reales Landfill. The City of Tucson's TreeCycle Program continues through Jan. 15 with various locations around Tucson and Oro Valley. The chips are expected to be transported to designated parks where they can be pick up for free and used as mulch. For more information go to tucsonaz.gov/treecycle.
