Donald Trump loves to quote percentages. Most of them are exaggerated or just plain made up. However, they are hard to disprove. He said border crossings were down 85%. Is this from 2024, yesterday or 1972? We don’t know.
What most people do know is simple math. He has asserted several times that drug prices are down 400%, 500% or, in some cases, 600%. If a drug costs me $100 and it is reduced by 50%, it costs me $50. If it is reduced 100% it costs me nothing. If it is reduced by 500%, then the drug company would be paying me $500 to buy the drug. Perhaps the tariff revenue is paying those drug companies for their losses.
If Trump can play the percentage game so can I. According to many people, smart and knowledgeable people, who I know and trust, but can’t tell you who they are, there has been an 18000% increase in the number of people who want the Epstein files released.
