Widespread showers and thunderstorms are on track to stretch across Southern Arizona through Monday, the weather service says.

Some uncertainty still continues in the weekend forecast, but Tropical Storm Priscilla continues to bring moisture to the area, which is expected to be enhanced by Tropical Storm Raymond, which is set to weaken as it moves into the southern Gulf of California on Sunday.

The most likely scenario: Southeast Arizona will see on average 1 to 3 inches of rain totals from Saturday through Monday, the National Weather Service in Tucson said early Friday.

The best chance of heavy rain through the weekend continues to be along the U.S.-Mexico border in Santa Cruz and Cochise counties.

Most areas in the Tucson region on Friday were expected to see less than 0.25 inches of rain, but it was possible to be as much as 0.75 inches due to stronger, isolated storms, the forecast shows.
