Congress members' Feb. 28 letter on COVID-19 at the border
Nine members of Congress signed this letter, dated Feb. 28 2020, imploring federal authorities to protect Americans from novel coronavirus infections potentially crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. At the time, there were 63 known cases in the United States, and the first case in Mexico was discovered that day.
