Arizona soccer is adding a defender, two midfielders and a center back for the 2026 squad.
Two of the new Wildcats, who signed national letters of intent, hail from the Phoenix area: Amanda Maynard and Emerson Stoft. They’ll be joined by Alexa Khan of Southlake, Texas, and Ashley May of San Marcos, Calif.
“This class is special,” said Arizona soccer coach Becca Moros. “They come from great environments and are great people. They’re hard-workers, passionate about the game of soccer and hold themselves to high standards in the classroom, all things we consider non-negotiable for our program.”

Khan, a defender, helped guide Carroll High School to three district championships, reaching the state quarterfinals in 2023, the state semifinals in 2024 and the area finals in 2025, according to an Arizona Athletics news release.
Over her prep career, she has started 42 matches and tallied four goals and 13 assists.
May, a midfielder, has competed against the top talent in the country as part of San Diego Surf, one of the nation’s premier ECNL clubs. In high school, May has recorded 25 goals and 16 assists. She has also been named an IMG Top 150 Player.
“Ashley is a goalscorer, a finisher. She plays a great possession style, intelligent and controlled, and she scores a lot of goals,” Moros said.
Hailing from Scottsdale, Maynard, a center back, has a reputation as a composed and physical defender who organizes the back line with confidence, a news release said.
She was named to the U15 Southwest ECNL All-Conference First Team, earned 2024 5A Conference All-Region First Team honors, and was recognized as Desert Mountain’s Team MVP.
Stoft, of Chandler, led her high school program to a state runner-up finish in 2024-25, scoring 55 goals and 15 assists across just three seasons.
The midfielder was named All-Region Player of the Year and Offensive Conference Player of the Year during her junior campaign and has been invited to three U.S. Youth National Team ID camps.
