With her first season underway, Arizona women’s basketball coach Becky Burke’s 2026 roster is solidifying as four commits, two of whom are four-star recruits, made things official on National Signing Day Wednesday.
From top left, clockwise: Arizona women’s basketball 2026 signees Priyanka Ponnam, Makayla Presser-Palmer, Callie Hinder and Jasleen Green.
Kicking off the early signing announcements was 6-2 forward Priyanka Ponnam of Pennington, New Jersey, who is expected to bring size and skill to the perimeter.
“Pri is a versatile stretch four that can be physical with her back to the basket and finish under the rim and can also stretch the floor and knock down the three at a high percentage,” Burke said of the two-time She Got Game MVP (2023-24, 2024-25). “I’m excited to be able to use Pri in a number of different ways both offensively and defensively.”
Ponnam averaged 15 points and 8 rebounds per game during her junior season, including a career-high 35 points and 10 rebounds in one outing, according to a news release.
Arizona women’s basketball 2026 signee Priyanka Ponnam, a 6-2 forward, shot 41.4% from 3-point range as a high school junior.
“I chose Arizona because of the amazing coaches, program, culture and community,” Ponnam said. “The moment I stepped on campus I saw the vision and felt supported. I know I can become my best self on and off the court and can’t wait to be part of the Wildcat legacy.”
Burke’s second announcement focused on four-star guard Jasleen Green of Ocala, Florida.
“Jasleen is one of the savviest guards in the country,” Burke said. “She can score at an elite level on all 3 levels. Jas is shifty, athletic and can create for herself and others at any time. What I’m probably most excited about is her work ethic, leadership and who she is as a person.”
At 5-8, Green is one of the most highly regarded guards in the nation, ranked No. 60 overall by ESPN. As a junior, she averaged 18 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists per game.
Jasleen Green, a four-star guard from Plantation, Florida, announced her commitment to Arizona on Aug. 30, 2025.
“It was everything about Arizona — the coaching staff, the culture and environment, the school, everything,” Green said in a news release on her decision to become a Wildcat.
Joining Green in Tucson and trailing just behind in the ESPN rankings at No. 63 overall is Makayla Presser-Palmer, a 5-foot-11 guard/forward from East Springfield, Pennsylvania.
Burke has known the four-star prospect, who averaged 28.3 points and 11.8 rebounds per game as a junior, and her family for a long time, Burke said in a news release.
“Makayla is an incredibly gifted athlete with an extremely dynamic skill set,” Burke said. “She can score at all three levels and plays extremely well in transition. Makayla will be invaluable on the defensive end of the floor, as well, being able to guard opponents’ best guards and rebounds the ball tremendously.”
Presser-Palmer, a First Team All-State selection, is one of Pennsylvania’s most decorated high school players.
Makayla Presser-Palmer averaged 28.3 points and 11.8 rebounds per game as a junior in Pennsylvania.
“I love Coach Burke’s fast, downhill, and competitive style — her energy and will to win match exactly how I play,” Presser-Palmer said.
Rounding out the group of Wednesday’s signees was center Callie Hinder from Chandler, by way of Sydney, Australia.
Ranked No. 2 overall in Arizona, the 6-6 Hinder helped lead Phoenix PHH Prep to the 2025 CAA State Championship and was named 6A Arizona Defensive Player of the Year in 2023 and 2024.
Internationally, Hinder earned a silver medal with Australia’s U19 Gems at the 2025 FIBA World Cup.
“Callie is a legitimate 6’6, and will give us the size, skill and physicality in the post that we are in need of for years to come,” Burke said.
Callie Hinder earned a silver medal with Australia's U19 Gems at the 2025 FIBA World Cup.
Hinder will join UA in December.
“She’s an Arizona kid that will take a tremendous amount of pride in wearing the block A and we couldn’t be happier that she’s a Wildcat.”
