Boston Celtics guard Kadeem Allen, center, is defended by Milwaukee Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe, left, and John Henson, right, during the second half of an NBA basketball game Tuesday, April 3, 2018, in Milwaukee.

Former Arizona Wildcat Kadeem Allen played 23 minutes and scored two points Tuesday night, when the Boston Celtics fell to the Milwaukee Bucks, 106-102. Allen added one rebound, two assists and one steal after making his first career start.

The Celtics announced this afternoon that Allen will start at point guard. Regular guards Kyrie Irving, Terry Rozier, Marcus Smart and Shane Larkin are all injured.

Allen is a "two-way player" who spends most of his time with the G League's Maine Red Claws. Allen has appeared in just 12 NBA games as a rookie, averaging 3.3 minutes per game. He played eight minutes in Saturday's win over the Raptors after not having appeared in a game since March 18.
