Arizona has added games against Utah Tech, NAU and Denver for November as it continues to fill out a 2025-26 schedule that will include its own multi-team event at McKale Center during Thanksgiving week.
The Wildcats' schedule also is likely to feature one extra game on top of its school-imposed 18-appearance home minimum. Arizona is expected to play nine home Big 12 games, eight nonconference games and two exhibition games at McKale for a total of 19 home appearances.
An NCAA rule change next season will allow exhibition games to be scheduled against any four-year school, meaning the Wildcats won't have to play a closed scrimmage to face Division I competition before the season.
Utah Tech, which lost to Arizona 104-77 at McKale during the 2022-23 season, is scheduled to face the Wildcats on Nov. 7, four days after Arizona will open the season against defending national champion Florida in Las Vegas.
NAU is scheduled to face Arizona on Nov. 11, resuming a series that was originally agreed to be played annually from 2021-22 through 2030-31. UA has not faced NAU the past three seasons largely because the son of UA coach Tommy Lloyd, Liam, played for the Lumberjacks in 2022-23 and 2023-24 and played for the Wildcats in 2024-25.
NAU will be returning to McKale Center next season after a three-year absence due in part to the presence of Liam Lloyd, right, who played for the Lumberjacks in 2022-23 and 2023-24 before joining his fatherβs team at Arizona in 2024-25.
Denver, meanwhile, will appear at McKale on Nov. 24 as part of a yet-to-be announced multi-team event that Arizona will host at McKale. Other games have not yet been set.
