Former Arizona forward Pelle Larsson holds a Heat jersey after going to Miami as the No. 44 pick in last week's NBA Draft.

Former Arizona forward Pelle Larsson has agreed to a partially guaranteed three-year contract worth $5.4 million with the Miami Heat, according to HoopsHype's Michael Scotto.

The Heat, which selected Larsson with the No. 44 overall pick in last week's NBA Draft, will fully guarantee his first season and offer a substantial guarantee for the second, Scotto reported. The Heat also has a team option for a third season.

Meanwhile, the Heat announced it had signed former Arizona forward Keshad Johnson to a two-way contract that will allow the Heat to shuttle him back and forth between Miami and the G League Sioux Falls Skyforce.

The Heat did not disclose Johnson's salary but the two-way deal was reported in HoopsHype's database as a standard $578,577, or half of the NBA rookie minimum. Johnson took in a reported $400,000Β in NIL compensationΒ last season while playing at Arizona.

While only first-round NBA picks must receive two-year guaranteed contracts, the Heat's deal with Larsson gives the team control of him for three years -- with minimal downside risk in years two and three -- in exchange for some guaranteed compensation.

While terms of Larsson's deal also were not announced, Larsson will be guaranteed at least the rookie minimum of $1.16 million in 2024-25 whether he is with the Heat or its G League affiliate.

The NBA second-year minimum for 2024-25 is $1.86 million and the third-year minimum is $2.09 million, suggesting Larsson will earn slightly above the current minimums if he sticks with the Heat all three seasons.
