Arizona star wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan is one of 10 finalists for Polynesian College Football Player of the Year.

The award is givenΒ annually to the most outstanding college football player who hails from a Polynesian background.Β

McMillan joinedΒ Jonah Elliss (Utah), Troy Fautanu (Washington), Taliese Fuaga (Oregon State), Laiatu Latu (UCLA), Jadyn Ott (Cal), Dominick Puni (Kansas), Taulia Tagovailoa (Maryland), J.T. Tuimoloau (Ohio State), and Sione Vaki (Utah) as finalists.Β

"Each of these young men had an incredible season and are a testament to the tremendous impact our Polynesian student-athletes are having in college football today," said Jesse Sapolu, chairman and co-founder of the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame.

McMillan is eighth among FBS wideouts with 1,242 yards, which is the fourth-most by a Wildcat in a single season trailing only Dennis Northcutt, Bobby Wade and Austin Hill. McMillan ended the regular season as the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week following an 11-catch, 266-yard performance in the Territorial Cup game, which is the second-most receiving yards in a game by a Wildcat since Jeremy McDaniel, who had 283 yards against Cal in 1996.

No. 14 Arizona (9-3) will face No. 12 Oklahoma (10-2) at the Valero Alamo Bowl in San Antonio on Dec. 28 at 7:15 p.m. on ESPN.
