Former LSU quarterback and soon-to-be graduate transfer Brandon Harris was supposed to visit Arizona and Texas after taking a trip to North Carolina this weekend.

Apparently, he liked what Chapel Hill had to offer – so much so that he committed to the Tar Heels without taking the other visits.

Harris wrote on Facebook that he is “fully committed” to North Carolina, where he’ll be in the mix to replace NFL-bound Mitchell Trubisky.

Harris is the second grad transfer on Arizona’s radar who picked UNC. Offensive lineman Cameron Dillard visited Tucson in February but eventually elected to attend North Carolina.

Harris would have faced an uphill battle to start at Arizona with Brandon Dawkins and Khalil Tate returning and having four combined years of experience in Rich Rodriguez’s system.

Harris’ decision presumably means that the UA will have four scholarship quarterbacks in 2017: Dawkins, Tate and incoming freshmen Rhett Rodriguez and K’Hari Lane.
