For the first time since Adia Barnes has been coaching at Arizona, the Wildcats' participation in a Thanksgiving tournament will be broadcast on linear TV.
The Acrisure Classic, which will be played on Nov. 26-27, will be televised on truTV. In addition, it can be streamed on Max.
In the past, the Wildcats have played in the Bahamas and in Hawaii over Thanksgiving and in all instances, the broadcasts were on smaller streaming services and were shot with one camera, dark or either had no announcers or they could not be heard.
Arizona faces Vanderbilt on Tuesday, Nov. 26 and will play either Cal or Michigan State on Wednesday, Nov. 27 in Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California.
The last time Arizona played Vanderbilt was in the 2021 Virgin Islands Paradise Jam tournament as UA won on a buzzer-beating layup by Shaina Pellington.
Arizona released its' 2024-25 nonconference schedule last week and will be playing only three traditional road games — against UC San Diego on Nov. 10, Chicago State on Nov. 16 and NAU on Nov. 20.
The Wildcats play two exhibition games in October with the first one on Oct. 25 against West Texas A&M at McKale Center. The second one is Oct. 29 against Cal State LA. The home opener is on Nov. 4 against UT-Arlington.
