For the first time since early November of last season, the Arizona Wildcats are not ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
Following its 31-7 loss to 14th-ranked Kansas State, which rose to No. 13 in the AP poll, Arizona fell out of the Top 25 on Sunday, but received 15 votes.
Arizona head coach Brent Brennan watches during the first half of Friday’s loss at Kansas State. UA is 2-1 through his first three games as coach. “We’ve had moments of really good football in all three phases, then we’ve had moments of not great football,” Brennan said.
Arizona spent nine straight weeks in the AP Top 25 dating back to Week 10 of last season on Nov. 5. During Arizona's seven-game winning streak last season, Arizona ascended from No. 23 to end the season at No. 11, the highest end-of-the-season ranking for the program since 1998.
The UA entered this season ranked No. 21 and spent the last two weeks at No. 20, but was routed by Kansas State for the largest margin of defeat since losing by 25 to Utah in 2022.
