Former Arizona wide receiver Montana Lemonious-Craig signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers for fall training camp, the franchise announced Tuesday morning.
Lemonious-Craig will be on Pittsburgh’s 90-man roster and fight for a spot on the 53-man roster leading up to the season opener against the New York Jets on Sept. 7.
Lemonious-Craig is the sixth Wildcat from the 2024 UA squad to land with an NFL team, joining Tetairoa McMillan (Carolina Panthers), offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea (Miami Dolphins), kicker Tyler Loop (Baltimore Ravens), running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt (Washington Commanders) and undrafted running back Quali Conley (Cincinnati Bengals).
Arizona wide receiver Montana Lemonious-Craig motors into the end zone untouched on a pass from wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan in the first quarter against Utah in a November 2023 matchup in Tucson.
The two-year starter had 45 receptions for 468 yards and four touchdowns in 24 games for the Wildcats. Lemonious-Craig’s production tapered off in his final season in 2024, as Chris Hunter III ascended into a more prominent role in Arizona’s offense.
The 6-2, 194-pound Lemonious-Craig started his career at Colorado, before transferring to Arizona for the final two seasons of his collegiate career. At CU, the Inglewood, California, native recorded 34 catches for 497 yards and five touchdowns.
Lemonious-Craig joins a Steelers wide receiver room that traded for Pro Bowler DK Metcalf and signed veteran Robert Woods in the offseason. After trading George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys earlier this month, the Steelers have slot receivers Calvin Austin III and Scotty Miller, along with Roman Wilson and Roc Taylor, among others.
Pittsburgh’s training camp begins on July 26 at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
