USC quarterback Caleb Williams is sacked by Arizona defensive lineman Russell Davis II during the first half on Oct. 7 in Los Angeles.

Former Arizona edge rusher Russell Davis II announced on Wednesday that he's transferring to Washington, reuniting with former UA head coach Jedd Fisch and defensive line coach Jason Kaufusi.Β

Davis joined cornerback Ephesians Prysock, running back Jonah Coleman, Indiana transfer cornerback Jordan Shaw, four-star 2024 quarterback Demond Williams, three-star Northern California offensive tackle Justin Hylkema and Phoenix-area running back Adam Mohammed as former Wildcats to transfer to Washington.Β

Davis entered the transfer portal last week, along with starting defensive end Isaiah Ward.Β

Davis, a former star at Chandler Hamilton High School and Arizona state high school sacks leader, appeared in 11 games for the Wildcats as a sophomore and tallied 16 tackles and 3.5 sacks. The 6-3, 220-pound Davis was a part of the Wildcats' loaded 2022 recruiting class and competed for a starting role in '23, but remained a reserve edge rusher.Β

With Davis, Ward and Taylor Upshaw, who finished his last year of eligibility, no longer at Arizona, the Wildcats' defensive ends are down to junior Ta'ita'i Uiagalelei, redshirt sophomore Sterling Lane, sophomore Dominic Lolesio, redshirt freshmen Julian Savaiinaea and Tristan Davis, sophomore Nick Fernandez and incoming true freshman Eduwa Okundaye.Β

Defensive line, especially on the edge, and cornerback will be a position of need for the Wildcats this offseason.
