Former Arizona softball standout Dejah Mulipola is set to again represent the United States on the world stage.
Mulipola, who played for the Wildcats from 2017-21, on Friday was named to the USA national team that will compete in the 2025 World Games Aug. 13-17 in Chengdu, China.
U.S. softball player Dejah Mulipola takes batting practice during a training session at the Fukushima Azuma Baseball Stadium ahead of the Summer Olympics on July 20, 2021, in Fukushima, Japan.
Mulipola has considerable international experience, including winning a silver medal in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. She also has participated in the Women’s Softball World Cup and the Pan American Games.
Mulipola was a two-time first-team All-American and two-time NFCA Catcher of the Year at Arizona, where she batted .333 and smashed 68 home runs — ninth most in UA history. Mulipola also played the entire 2021 season without committing an error and left Arizona with a .997 career fielding percentage.
Mulipola will play in the Athletes Unlimited Softball League in June and July. Former UA pitcher Taylor McQuillin is also part of the league, and current Wildcat Devyn Netz is set to join the AUSL this year.
