Becky Burke is bringing another player to Arizona who previously signed with Buffalo — and one who was released by her UA predecessor.

Forward Daniah Trammell announced via social media Saturday that she has committed to the UA.

Trammell earned multiple all-state honors at Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati. She helped the Warriors go undefeated en route to their first state championship. Trammell had 17 points, eight rebounds and three assists in the title game on March 14.

Trammell became the second player in as many days to flip from the Bulls to the Wildcats, joining guard Molly Ladwig.

On Sunday, wing Mireia Jurado announced her commitment to Arizona. Jurado signed with SMU in the fall to play for Toyelle Wilson. Wilson was fired in March and replaced by former Arizona coach Adia Barnes.

Trammell and Jurado are the third and fourth prep players to join Arizona’s incoming class, which also features eight transfers. The Wildcats now have 13 players, including one returnee, forward Montaya Dew.

“Daniah is a special talent,” Burke said when Trammell signed with Buffalo. “She competes at an extremely high level on both ends of the floor, and I love that about her. She’s definitely going to test opponents’ competitiveness and fire because hers is as good as it gets.

“I think she’s selfless and loves the game of basketball, which helps her embrace her role, whatever that may be, to help her team win.”

“When the clock hit zero a lot of things were going through my head,” Trammell said afterward, per WCPO.com. “If you would’ve told me I would be in my senior season 27-0 and a state champion, I would be like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ Props to my teammates for sticking with it.”

Jurado is from Avinyó, Spain. She has extensive international experience, including being a member of Spain’s U17 FIBA Women’s World Cup Team. She averaged 5.6 points and 3.7 rebounds in 15.7 minutes.

“She has played at the highest level in Spain and can play all three positions on the perimeter,” Wilson said when Jurado signed with SMU. “She can score at all three levels, and she will elevate everyone around her. She has a knack for scoring the ball and has length where she can change how we play on both ends of the floor.”
