Salpointe Catholic High School boys soccer coach Wolfgang Weber, an 11-time state champion at the school from 1982-2024, won his 774th career match on Friday, beating Prescott 8-0.

The Lancers are now 13-1, aiming for a fifth consecutive state championship.

Weber’s 774th victory ties him with the late Dick McConnell, a four-time state championship boys basketball coach at Sahuaro from 1969-2007. Weber can pass McConnell when the Lancers play Rincon/University on Friday.

Here’s some perspective on where Weber and McConnell’s 774 victories stand in Tucson sports history.
