Resort details: Sitting on 50 acres adjacent to Tucson Mountain Park, you'll find the oasis that is Starr Pass Resort. Families love it here because of the lazy river, water slide, splash pad and giant swimming pool. It also has a teen lounge and kids club. Adults love the spa, tequila toast, the golf course, and of course, the lazy river, making it a good option for everyone.
Summer special: Sunday nights and weeknight rates start at $166 per night for a room with two queens or one king size bed. It comes with four wristbands for the pool. There's an additional $29 resort fee per night.

Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa
Where: 245 E. Ina Road
Resort details: This certified green resort sits on 80 acres at the base of the Catalina Mountains. There are activities for the whole family, including hiking and biking trails, bike rentals, horseback riding, a butterfly and hummingbird garden, a spa, a restaurant and a big pool.
Summer special: The Play Your Way 2018 special gives you summer rates starting at $109 per night Sunday through Thursday and $119 Friday and Saturday plus tax and $20 resort fee. It includes breakfast for two adults and two children each day in the resort's restaurant, Gold.

Resort details: Located on the northwest side of town, Omni Tucson offers a spa, lighted tennis courts, two pools, three restaurants and two 18-hole golf courses. Upon check-in the kiddos will receive a backpack full of activities, as well as milk and cookies delivered to the room on your first night.

Resort details: This resort is in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains and is surrounded by natural desert landscape and hiking trails. There are four restaurants, a lakeside spa, a fitness center, two swimming pools with jacuzzis, lighted tennis courts and two golf courses. Kids under 10 will receive a welcome gift upon arrival.
Make sure and catch a dive-in movie with the family if one is playing during your stay. There are also poolside activities for the kiddos. Children ages 4-10 can be part of the Coyote Kids Club (for an additional fee), where they'll be treated to a day of adventure with activities that include Koi fish feeding, desert ecology walks, playground fun and arts and crafts.
