Moms, you rock! 

Thank you for giving birth to us, inventing the mom jean and never sleeping. We wouldn't be here without you.

That means this weekend needs to be awesome. Make it awesome for the mom in your life with a bouquet-building class, free yoga or volunteering. Old Tucson is also honoring moms with free admission all weekend.

Mother's Day 5K

Celebrate by breaking a sweat. Every participant will receive a raffle ticket and moms get a rose at the finish line. Everyone gets snacks and refreshments.

When: Saturday, May 13, registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and race begins at 9 a.m.

Where: Gladden Farms Community Park, 12250 N. Tangerine Farms Rd.

Cost: Registration is $25 on day of event and $15 for children 12 and under. 

Women Build 2017 with Habitat for Humanity

Volunteering with your mom or mom friends can be rewarding.

Habitat for Humanity is having a four-hour women's build with brunch for all women 16 years or older. Brunch is 9-10 a.m. with a shift following immediately after. Registration is highly encouraged, you can do that online.

When: Saturday, May 13, shift No. 2 is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: You will be working Park Avenue and Drexel Road in the Copper Vista neighborhood.

Bouquet Building at Pueblo Vida Brewing

The queen of bouquets is leading a bouquet-building class and your mom will probably love it. She can make her own flower arrangement, one that she'll definitely like. Register before they sell out.

Mother's Day storytime at Barnes and Noble

Are you a mom with a young kid? Take them to a storytime at Barnes & Noble, where they get to hear "How to Raise a Mom" by Jean Reagan. Activities will follow.

Mother's Day pop-up shop at Pop Cycle

Pop Cycle is hosting a pop-up shop for Annotated Audrey and High and Dry Jewelry Design. Take your mom to browse through the already-cool Pop Cycle stuff while you sneakily buy her a rad coloring book and skull ring.

Mother's Day Tribute at Casa Film Bar

Grab some free popcorn, order pizza and take advantage of the wine and champagne specials. Casa Film Bar is paying tribute to two moms. They're playing movies with Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds all day and ending the night with "Postcards From the Edge" at 7 p.m.

"Mamma Mia" Sing Along at The Loft

It lands on Mother's Day. Your mama can dress up, sing along and get a goodie bag.

Where: Tucson Jewish Community Center, 3800 E. River Rd.

Cost: General admission is $10 and $8 for children (12 and under) and Loft members.

Yoga with mom for mom at Barefoot Studio

Barefoot Studio is giving moms a free yoga class on their special day. Everyone else has to pay $12 for a single class.
