There's a lot going on around the Tucson area this weekend (July 22-24). The Loft Kids Fest kickoff and movie festival is great (and free) and the 4th Avenue sale is a good way to do some low-key local shopping. Here are five more you might want to check out.

Friday

1. Watch Joy and her friends under the stars

Enjoy a free screening of Inside Out atΒ Reid Park's Demeester Outdoor Performance Center.Β 

What time?Β The event starts at 6 p.m. with free activities. Movies starts at dusk (7:45-ish)

What to bring?Β Attendees are encouraged to bring towels, lawn chairs, their own seating

Will there be food?Β Yes, there will be food trucks at 6 p.m. when the event begins. Bring cash for the stir fry, kettle corn, shaved ice, soft serve ice cream, Sonoran hot dogs, peruvian food, churros or pack snacks for your picky eaters.

Saturday

2. Up, up and away

Head to the Pima Air and Space Museum forΒ Night Wings, a discounted night of games and planes.

What time?Β 5 to 9 p.m.

Will there be food?Β The Pima Air and Space Museum's Flight Grill is open until 8:30 p.m. with pizza, burgers, salads and ice cream.Β

3. Learn something out of this world

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum's Cool Summer Nights hosts Astronomy Night. Watch the stars and animals come out at night.

What time?Β 5 to 10 p.m.

Will there be food?Β The Ironwood Terraces, The Ocotillo CafΓ© and The Cottonwood are open with options for full meals or snacks.

4. Go wild for Pokemon Go at the zoo

Head to the Reid Park Zoo to catch PokΓ©mon, meet other players and improve your game. Go to the next level and come dressed as your favorite PokΓ©mon character or just come to enjoy the music and face painting.

What time?Β 7 to 10 p.m.

Will there be food?Β Zoofari CafΓ© will be open.

How much?Β Tickets areΒ $9 for adults,Β $7 for seniors,Β $5 for kids 2-14 and members get a $2 discount.

5. S.T.E.A.M Sundays at the Children's Museum

The Children's Museum Tucson has extra science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics programming on Sundays with reduced admission all day

What time?Β 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where?Β Children's Museum Tucson, 200 S. Sixth Ave., near Armory Park downtown.

Will there be food?Β There is a vending machine with healthy snacks and Johnny Gibson's Market is walkable for a casual kid-friendly lunch from the deli or salad bar.

How much?Β $3 all day
