Calling all muggles! It's time to celebrate the release of the newest addition to the Harry Potter Saga, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Harry Potter's birthday.
Join the celebration at any of these events:
1. Channel your inner Hermione at Casa Film Bar's Harry Potter Trivia Night
Brush up on your potions and spells or just watch the movies over again. There will be prizes. Check it out here.
When: Tuesday, July 26, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Where: Casa Film Bar, 2905 E. Speedway Blvd.
Should I bring money?: Yes, Casa Film Bar will have its usual beer, wine and cider choices. Check out what's on tap here. There will also be free popcorn.
* This event is expected to draw a large crowd so if you're not into Harry Potter trivia, it's best not go this night.
2. Celebrate Harry Potter's birthday at Himmel Park Library's free event
Go dressed up as your favorite witch or (dark) wizard to learn about all things magical. Make sure to put Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on hold for reading while you're there. Check it out here.
When: Thursday, July 28, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Himmel Park Library, 1035 N. Treat Ave.
3. Own Harry Potter and the Cursed Child when the clock strikes midnight
Attend a two-day release party hosted by Antigone Books.
When: Saturday, July 30, 11:45 p.m. to 12:45 a.m.
- Pick up your prepaid book or buy at the store. If you order in advance, you can get 25 percent off the original price ($29.99) or get 20 percent off at the store.
- Order the book here.
- You will also get to enter a drawing for magical prize or get a magical treat while you're there.
AND Sunday, July 31, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Come back for the Harry Potter party. There will be activities, Quidditch, and opportunities to win prizes.
- Dress up for the costume contest at 2:30 p.m.
- Get 20 percent off the book.

4. Countdown to midnight at Barnes & Noble at the Foothills Mall
Go to buy the book but stay for the many activities, contests and giveaways. When you get there, you will receive a ticket for a spot in line but you'll also get sorted into your House.
When: Saturday, July 30, You can arrive as early as 7:00 p.m. but events start at 8:00 p.m. to midnight
Where: Barnes & Noble at the Foothills Mall, 7325 N. La Cholla Blvd. #100
Should I bring money?: This event is free but the Chocolate Frogs at the café aren't.

5. Another countdown to midnight at Barnes & Noble on the east side
Meet other muggles excited for the release of the newest Harry Potter book. There will be arts and crafts, games, wand making and other magical activities, along with giveaways like posters and a Time Turner like Hermione's.
When: Saturday, July 30, 8:00 p.m. to midnight
Where: Barnes & Noble, 5130 E. Broadway Blvd.
Should I bring money?: This event is free but the books are not.
